Proud to Highlight: Jessica Ridgeway's Legacy!

We are absolutely honored to share and highlight Jessica Ridgeway's Legacy.  We're all familiar with this sweet face! 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway was a bubbly, energetic 10 year old who loved to sing and dance.  She wanted to be a "nice" cheerleader when she grew up. Her favorite color was purple.  Jessica was a light to her family and the community and will be forever missed.

In honor of the late Jessica Ridgeway, 2002 - 2012, her family has started a foundation - Jessia Ridgeway’s Legacy - which supports animal and youth initiatives in her memory.  Through their foundation, the Ridgeways hope to support community programs for years to come. Learn more about it, what they do and what you can do at:www.JessicaRidgeway.com

"Like" their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/JessicaRidgewayLegacy

The Broomfield Community Foundation accepts the donations for Jessica Ridgeway’s Legacy through the Jessica Ridgeway Legacy Fund. Members of Jessica’s family help decide where funds will go.  To donate, visit broomfieldfoundation.org/donate-now and select the Jessica Ridgeway Legacy Fund from the drop-down menu. For more information, call 303-469-7208.  The Broomfield Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Federal Tax ID# 84-1246756.

The "Remembering Jessica Campaign" (http://www.jessicaridgeway.com/2013/12/remembering-jessica-campaign/) is a movement by her loved ones, remembering Jessica by doing good deeds for others – be a light in your community!  It's something we can all do!  Random acts of kindness can be free and they most often spark others to continue to do something else.  It's a chain reaction we'd hate to see broken when it's so easily acquired.

There are some special fundraisers starting tomorrow.  Check them out:

Macy's doing special fundraisers starting tomorrow for two Westminster parks (one is Jessica's park):

Very cool!

The Lassy Project is also an amazing organization I've learned about throughwww.JessicaRidgeway.com.  If you have children, grandchildren or any special children in your life, you should make yourself familiar with it.  It could save a life! It even has a smart phone app! Learn more about it here:

Please share!  There are so many ways to get involved and help!
