I'm always excited to highlight first responders and tonight is no different! Long time ColoradoStrong® supporter and friend, Cody, is a part of the Palmer Lake Volunteer Fire Department. He is an EMT/Wildland Firefighter and also the Assistant EMS coordinator.
The station and department was established in 1938 and are still operating out of the same building that they used back in 1938! It is one of the few volunteer departments left in El Paso County and serves the entire area of Palmer Lake. You may have seen the large light up star in Palmer Lake during Christmas time. They run this star and also maintain it! We would love to help them try to gain as much attention as possible so they may be able to upgrade to a new station soon!
