We are so proud to highlight and amazing organization that we've all heard of: The Ronald McDonald House! I want to thank Eydie Mellin for not only providing us information about this great organization, but for being the current Volunteer of the Year! Thank you for helping makes these families' lives a little bit easier!
For the last 27 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado (RMHCSC) has been caring for critically ill children and their families from southern Colorado, northern New Mexico, western Kansas and beyond.
Our cornerstone programs, the Ronald McDonald House, three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms (located in area hospitals) and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile serve over 4,000 children and their families annually - none who foresaw they would have need for our services. The fact is, disease, illness and injury are the great levelers. None of us asks for them to come for ourselves, and certainly never for our children.
According to studies, giving families the gifts of togetherness help critically ill children cope better and heal faster.
RMHCSC raises 100% of their funding locally. The relationship with McDonald's Customers and Owners/Operators accounts for approximately 12% of our overall annual operating budget.
